Two hundred and four Ukrainians - crew members of the German cruise liner Delphin turned out to be in the captivity of their own ship, which was arrested due to bankruptcy of ship-owner. It happened on October 16. Since that time the Delphin is in the port of Venice, the crew cannot leave the ship.

The problem of the release of sailors has not been solved, moreover, if they go to the bank – they may be deprived of their wages. According to the crew, the owner owes them nearly 1 million of Euros, Podrobnosti reports.

The ship has fuel that will come to the end soon, so the captain asks the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine to intervene into the situation. According to the Foreign Ministry, the case is under the control of the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy. The Foreign Ministry are monitoring the situation and will facilitate the return of Ukrainian citizens to their homeland.
