Case on fixed match: FC Metalist appealed to Lausanne
FC Metalist filed in the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) in Lausanne, Switzerland an application for appeal against the decision of the Appeal Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine. On Tuesday, November 2 the press service of the Kharkiv Club reported this. The appeal was filed on Monday, November 1.
According to the application, FC Metalist demands to cancel the recognition of the match against FC Karpaty the season 2007/2008 the fixed one. He also insists on the lifting of all sanctions imposed on the club and in person at Evhen Krasykov and Serhii Pshenychnykh.
In addition, FC Metalist requires reimbursement of "all expenses" incurred in connection with this, Sport.bigmir.net reports.
As a reminder, previously the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine recognized the match of the championship of Ukraine 2007/08 FC Metalist – FC Karpaty (4:0) the fixed one. In October, the Appeal Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine slightly alleviated this verdict. Nevertheless, both FC Metalist and FC Karpaty said they intended to appeal to the court in Lausanne.
