Police detain Ukraine's former first deputy justice minister
The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has opened case against former first deputy justice minister Yevhen Korniychuk in Yulia Tymoshenko's government, UKRINFORM learned from the PGO press service Thursday.
Korniychuk is charged with abuse of power which entailed grave consequences.
On suspicion of committing the crime Korniychuk is detained and pre-trial investigation is in progress.
Unofficial reports say he is accused of giving permission to hold a tender for the provision of juridical services to NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine by one company when he was in office.
